Skakavac is waterfall located only 12 kilometers outside Sarajevo. It’s 98 meters high and its name literally means “grasshopper”.
The easiest way to reach the waterfall is by car or a van from Sarajevo. The car can get you to the village called Nahorevo, and you have to continue on foot from there, for about 7 more kilometers. The paths are well-marked and you can choose whether you wanna approach the waterfall from above or underneath. You will also notice many good places to have a picnic or just relax along the way.
Paths of Skakavac are famous and beloved by mountain bikers, as well as those who just want a relaxing walk in nature. Skakavac is enlisted in worlds BASE JUMP site, under the name Gogo Base jump Skakavac.
